Acceptable Use Policy
This policy explains what’s allowed on TALKVOX — and what’s not — to keep service reliable, compliant, and clean for everyone.

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs the use of TALKVOX’s cloud-based communications services, including VoIP calling, messaging, numbers, call routing, recordings, analytics, and related features (the “Services”).
By using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to TALKVOX’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Purpose of This Policy
TALKVOX provides business communications services intended for lawful, professional, and ethical use. This policy exists to:
- Protect network integrity and service quality
- Prevent illegal, abusive, or harmful activity
- Comply with carrier, regulatory, and industry requirements
- Protect customers, recipients, and the public
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Services to engage in, promote, facilitate, or assist with any of the following activities.
2.1 Illegal or Fraudulent Use
- Any activity that violates local, state, federal, or international law
- Fraud, impersonation, or deceptive practices
- Identity theft, spoofing, or falsifying caller ID information
- Scams, phishing, or social engineering attacks
2.2 Unsolicited Communications (Spam)
You may not use the Services for unsolicited or abusive communications, including but not limited to:
- Robocalls without proper consent
- Cold calling that violates TCPA, FCC, or local regulations
- Mass dialing without opt-in consent
- Spam voicemail drops
- Auto-dialing or predictive dialing used unlawfully
You are responsible for obtaining and documenting proper consent where required.
2.3 Harassment, Abuse, or Harm
- Threatening, abusive, or harassing calls
- Hate speech or discriminatory communications
- Calls intended to intimidate, defame, or harm individuals or organizations
- Repeated calls intended to annoy or disrupt
2.4 Network Abuse or Interference
- Activities that degrade service quality or network performance
- Excessive call attempts designed to overload systems
- Attempting to bypass usage limits, safeguards, or monitoring
- Reverse engineering, probing, or exploiting the platform
2.5 High-Risk or Restricted Use Cases
Unless explicitly approved in writing by TALKVOX, the following use cases are not permitted:
- Traffic pumping or artificial call generation
- IRS, SSA, or government impersonation
- Debt collection without regulatory compliance
- Political robocalling or messaging
- Emergency services impersonation
- Call masking or spoofing intended to mislead
3. Call Recording & Monitoring
If you enable call recording or monitoring features:
- You are responsible for complying with all applicable consent and disclosure laws
- This may include two-party or all-party consent requirements
- TALKVOX does not provide legal advice regarding recording laws
You must ensure appropriate disclosures are made before recording any call.
4. Phone Numbers & Caller ID
- Numbers may only be used for their assigned and approved purpose
- You may not resell, reassign, or lease numbers without authorization
- Caller ID must accurately represent your business identity
- Spoofing or masking caller ID to deceive recipients is prohibited
5. Security & Account Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- Preventing unauthorized access or misuse
- Monitoring activity and reporting suspicious behavior promptly
TALKVOX is not responsible for misuse caused by compromised credentials.
6. Monitoring & Enforcement
TALKVOX reserves the right to:
- Monitor usage patterns for compliance and abuse prevention
- Investigate suspected violations
- Suspend, restrict, or terminate services immediately if abuse is detected
- Cooperate with carriers, regulators, and law enforcement when required
Enforcement actions may occur without prior notice in cases of serious or ongoing abuse.
7. Consequences of Violations
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Temporary suspension of services
- Permanent termination of accounts
- Loss of phone numbers
- Reporting to upstream carriers or regulators
- Legal action where appropriate
8. Updates to This Policy
TALKVOX may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
